Originally from Chandigarh, Purnima is currently living in Gurgaon and works with a BPO. She has trained in music for sometime and has appeared on national television to sing bhajans. Her favourite singers are Kavita Krishnamoorthi, Sunidhi Chouhan and Shreya Ghoshal.

Interestingly, besides music, Purnima also teaches French and paints in her free time.
