Alisha
Chinai
The ‘Indian Madonna’ is one of the pioneers of pop music in
India. Alisha Chinai made Indipop history with Made in India
along with music composer Biddhu. The song made waves and ushered
in new pop music trends.
A little-known fact is that Alisha has had a prolific playback-singing
career, too. She started out in 1985 with the film Tarzan
and provided notable vocals for Tridev and sang the
sizzling Kaate Nahin Kat Te from Mr India.
One of her credible offerings was the track Pyaar Tune
Kya Kiya, which showcased her versatility. Her latest
hit Kajra Re, the qawwali song composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy,
caught the fancy of many music listeners worldwide. |
